The Marshall Tucker Band scored their biggest hit in 1977 with “Heard It in A Love Song.” Swanlund, the longest running band member besides co-founder Doug Gray, joined the group for its second incarnation following the band’s dissolution in 1983 and reformation in 1985.

Swanlund & Pat Hammond, part time Marshall Tucker Band Keyboardist formed the Nuthin' Fancy Band shortly after the bands dissolution.

Swanlund died in his sleep in his home in Chicago at the age of 54 with the reminder to his friends, "The Show Must Go On".

Now with Pat Hammond at the helms and a new group of musicians gathered from some of the most legendary Chicago Based Southern Rock Bands, they continue on with his legend to bring you the originals and the greats from one of the best musical eras of our times.
